How one young man’s journey reflects the heart of what we do at Veley Productions
Over the past year, a young man named Jaydan has become part of our team at Veley Productions. He is currently a Production Intern—learning the ropes behind the scenes, supporting live events, and assisting our team with filming and media production. But his story goes far beyond production.
Since the age of six, Jaydan has been part of the foster care system. Like many, his path has included instability, uncertainty, and challenges most young adults never have to navigate. By the time our paths crossed, he had already aged out of the system—but we connected, and today, he’s part of our extended family.
Now at 19, Jaydan is finishing his first year of college while continuing to grow professionally in video production. And recently, something remarkable is unfolding.
What began as a few opportunities to share his personal story is quickly gaining momentum. Jaydan was invited to the Texas Governor’s Mansion to speak alongside Greg Abbott, offering insight into the foster care system and advocating for others still navigating it. That opportunity has led to what’s next.
Next week he will travel to Washington, D.C. to speak before Congress—representing what he calls “his brothers and sisters in foster care.”
And when you hear him speak, you understand why:
“I developed my determination and perseverance by example,” Martinez said. “People can be born into any situation, but it is those brilliant few who understand they have the power to shape their future, to change their situation and create their own opportunities, who inspire me to keep fighting.”
